New Members Named
Governor Otter recently named three new members to the Council on
Developmental Disabilities and reappointed five current members to new terms.
Joni Sullivan, from Dalton Gardens, is a parent of a 20-year-old son with Down Syndrome. She is a graduate of Partners
in Policymaking and fills the vacancy formerly held by Heidi Stoddard of
Filer. Chris Lynch is the father of a 13-year-old daughter with disabilities.
He resides in Boise and is also a Partners in Policymaking graduate and an
advisory board member for the Idaho Training Cooperative. Chris replaces
Debbie DePaola from Lava Hot Springs. Beth Cunningham of Boise is an

"Moving On" - Idaho Transition
Binder
"Moving On," the Idaho Transition Binder for transition-age students in Idaho schools is now available free as a download from the Idaho Training Clearinghouse website.
The binder is a useful tool for students, parents, and teachers to use in
planning for transition from high school to adult life. Each student adds
their own information to the binder under section headings so they have all
their information in one place. If you are interested in downloading the
contents of the binder, go to the Idaho Training Clearinghouse website at
http://idahotcnew.idahotc.com and
click on "Secondary Transition" under "Learning Communities." Or,

Grant
The Council and its partners, the Center on Disabilities and Human
Development at the University of Idaho and other organizations,

individuals, families and groups across Idaho. A key focus of the grant will
be on unpaid informal supports that are critical to anyone with a disability
living a successful life in the community. To see an Abstract of the proposal,
