Guardianship and Alternatives
A Guardian/Conservator complaint protocol has been created by the Idaho Supreme Court. The protocol has been finalized and court personnel across the state have been trained on the process for the court to receive and act on public complaints about an appointed guardian or conservator. Examples of concerns may be stealing an individual's money, withholding necessary medical treatment, failure to provide necessary food or shelter, or physical abuse or neglect.
Here are links to the Idaho Supreme Court website where you can find information on the process and the required form a member of the public must complete and mail or hand deliver to the court where the guardianship or conservatorship is filed.
