Council Member Time Requirements

Council Meetings

Council members are expected to attend two (2) day in person meetings four (4) times a year and additional meetings as needed.

In the case the Council is unable to meet in person, meetings may take place virtually.

Council Meeting Prep

Council members are expected to review meeting packet prior to the meeting.

Communication

Read and respond to Council emails.

Community Activity

Be involved in disability related issues in member’s community. Activities could range from reading about an issue or event in the local newspaper, attending public meetings or events and reporting out during a Council meeting.

Committees

Ad Hoc committees meet virtually to discuss and decide critical issues such as public policy positions, budget expenditures, and membership applications.
